Now, let’s dive in…

What is remote closing?

First, let’s start by defining what remote closing is.

Remote closing, also known as "high ticket" closing is essentially inbound sales and came about when the social media marketing agency, online courses and coaching scene exploded.

At first, people were selling courses for a few hundred quid up to a grand, but then, as time went on, coaching programs worth thousands, if not tens of thousands started popping up.

And with this extra cost came the need for sales reps, as understandably, people didn’t feel comfortable handing over that kind of money based on a few compelling ads and a nice landing page.

And since busy entrepreneurs can’t spend all day taking sales calls and still run their businesses, they hire people to take these calls to assess the fit and convert them into clients.

And when they become a client they pay out a commission, which is typically 10-15% of the deal size.

Why is it such a good opportunity?

Everyone is different, but remote closing fits my skill set perfectly.

You can earn decent money (by most people on Earth's standards) while having the freedom of working from anywhere, without having to be all that tech-savvy.

It has other perks as well, like no cold calling or prospecting. If you've worked in corporate sales, you'll appreciate what a luxury this is. Clients come to you, making the whole thing way more enjoyable.

And if you speak one of the main languages, like English, and have existing sales experience, you can land a closing role without much effort and have minimal start-up costs. For example, I have an accountant and that is about it.

Lastly, the beauty of remote closing is you only have to focus on one thing: sales.

When I ran my advertising agency, I had so many things going on I couldn’t ever switch off. Think lead generation, sales, account management, media buying, team management etc. etc.

The simplicity of focusing solely on sales is a breath of fresh air.

What if you don’t have sales experience?

This one comes up a lot, and luckily I have an answer.

There are two roles in this space - appointment setting and closing. Setters set appointments by sending DMs on social media, while closers convert those appointments into clients over Zoom.

Appointment setting is more of an entry-level role and leads to closing opportunities. So if you don’t have existing sales experience, I recommend starting as a setter, before progressing into closing.

If you do a good job, the business owner is likely to help you transition into closing as you already know their offering and more importantly they’ll trust you to continue with your same work ethic.

How much can you earn?

Alright, here's the biggest draw: Remote closing opens the door to serious income potential.

Commissions range from £500 to £3K per sale. And if you are working on an offer in high demand you could be taking five or more sales calls a day.

To give this some context, it’s very reasonable to assume that you could be earning £5-10K a month after three months of doing this if you are half decent and selling something in demand. Even more, if you are selling something particularly high ticket.

Unlike many remote jobs that pay poorly or businesses that need a lot of money to start, and take a long time to get going, remote closing is different. It pays well and you don't even need a website.

Plus, if you set up your business and personal taxes right, you can pay way less tax and keep most of your money. This kind of money freedom isn't possible when working a regular B2B sales job in your home country.
