Escape the 9-5 grind: How remote closing can transform your life.
Today, I'm going to explain why remote closing is a phenomenal choice if you're a sales pro who wants to be a digital nomad.
If you're reading this, you're probably tired of the regular 9-5 job. Maybe you've been dreaming of quitting and starting something that lets you work from anywhere. But, let's be honest—making money online isn't as easy as it looks on social media.
I started travelling in 2018, but for a long time, I struggled to make enough money. And even now, I see many other nomads facing the same challenges—working all the time, taking low-paying freelance gigs, without having the funds to enjoy the freedom they want.
Don't worry, though! As someone who's been doing this for a while, I've found a great solution: remote closing. It's changed my life, and I'm excited to share why.
Let me tell you my top three reasons why I love being a remote closer:
Now, let's get into it.
#1: Live and work wherever you want
Being able to go wherever you want is one of the best things about being a digital nomad. It's what attracts a lot of people to this lifestyle.
As a digital nomad, you can travel as much or as little as you like. Unlike regular sales jobs where you have to go to the office at least a few times a week, working as a freelance remote closer means you're not stuck in one place.
You can escape the cold winter back home and work from somewhere warm like South East Asia. Or you can travel full-time, staying in one spot for a few months or going to new places every few weeks. The whole world is open to you, as long as you have a decent internet connection.
#2: Earn decent money quickly
Having all this freedom is great, but it's not much fun if you can't afford to do anything cool. Eating out, going on trips, accommodation, paying for coworking spaces etc. all cost money.
When I first started living this way, I had £10K in savings. I tried different ways to make money, and despite working pretty hard, I couldn't earn a steady income each month.
I’m not going to lie, continuously worrying about money was super stressful.
Towards the end of my first nomad attempt in Bali, I had no money left to hang out with friends or do anything fun and I eventually had to fly back home to my Mum's house with no money after a year and start from scratch.
On the flip side, once I started remote closing, I quickly started making £5-10K a month. If you know sales, you can reach this point in as little as 2 to 3 months, without too much trouble.
At this point, you'll have enough money to do whatever you want, especially if you’re living in a country where things cost less.
It's an amazing feeling to live the nomad life while also not having to worry about money all the time.

#3: Work-life balance
Before I started remote closing, I spent three years running an eCommerce marketing agency. Looking back, I realised just how much I was working.
I had so many tasks on my plate that I could never really switch off and would often work through the weekend. There was lead generation, sales, managing accounts, media buying, managing the team, and more.
But with remote closing, it couldn’t be more different. Now, I only have to focus on one thing: taking inbound sales calls from warm prospects.
I keep my schedule flexible. I have 5 to 6 slots open every day for calls, each lasting 45 minutes. I can adjust these to fit my schedule outside of work. For example, I'm in Sri Lanka right now, which is 5.5 hours ahead of the UK. So, I open my calendar from 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm (9 am to 2 pm UK time).
This works out well with UK time and gives me the whole morning to do things like surfing or yoga, followed by a nice brunch. Plus, I still have time for activities after work. It feels like I've added more hours to my day compared to when I worked in the UK, and it makes a huge difference in my overall well-being.

Wrapping up…
The nomad lifestyle is sick if you get the right balance. But if you don’t have the funds to do anything or you spend your whole life working it can turn your dream into a nightmare.
